Tuesday, November 3

Still in transit towards Iqaluit for the change of staff on November 6th. We will probably arrive on the evening of the 5th when we’ll have our gala night with prizes. There was a quiz about ‘the person the most this or that’. It will be a fun last night of the leg4a. Then, 25 people leave, 25 arrive. Among them, many high school students. There is a plan about H1N1… I heard it’s all over the media.

It was a nice day today with the coast, the sea, the sky… there were clouds with snow precipitations in the horizon. All sorts of colours for the sunset: yellow and pink reflecting in the clouds. Sunset was at 3pm.

I’m working a lot on a film project about the Leg4a on the Amundsen, from Paulatuk to Iqaluit. It will something dynamic to show people that were on board, the landscapes and funny situations. I’m also working on the dive report and the ROV leg report, so it’s pretty busy! I hope I’ll have the chance to get in the helicopter soon to film the ship from the sky… we’ll see!

On est toujours en transit vers Iqaluit pour le changement de personnel du 6 novembre. On prévoit arriver le 5 au soir: la soirée du gala ou ils vont remettre les prix orange. Il y a eu un sondage a bord pour nommer les personnes les plus ci- les pluc ca… Ca sera une belle dernière soirée du Leg4a. Ensuite, c’est 25 personnes qui partent et 25 qui arrivent dont plusieurs étudiants du secondaire. J’ai su que nous avons un plan à bord en cas de H1N1… c’est partout dans les médias apparemment.

C’était superbe aujourd’hui avec la côte au loin, la mer, le ciel avec des précipitations de neige au loin, puis le ciel changeant dans des teintes de jaune et rose pour le coucher du soleil… vers 15h.

Je travaille sur le montage d’un film sur le Leg4a, soit de Paulatuk à Iqaluit. Ce sera quelque chose de dynamique pour montrer qui étaient les gens à bord, les paysages et quelques situations comiques qui sont survenues. Je travaille aussi sur le rapport de plongée d’hier et j’aurai aussi un rapport du Leg sur les plongées à finaliser. Mine de rien c’est pas mal occupé. J’espère toujours avoir la chance de sortir en hélicoptère pour filmer le navire du haut des airs. On verra bien…
